Wool duvets and cashmere duvets are both wonderful!

Pure new wool, covered in 100% cotton is supremely comfortable.

Wool regulates temperature. It breathes -as it effortlessly absorbs and evaporates moisture, the body temperature is maintained at an  even level, keeping you warm in winter, cool in summer and comfortably warm throughout the night.

Wool is a natural insulator which no man-made fibre can compete with - it will not attract dust mites from the air, it is non-allergenic and probably the least flammable fibre in common use.  All duvets are stitched to hold the filling firmly in place, so no more duvet shaking! Since the duvets are not loose-filled there are no cold spots.

The warmth of a wool duvet is not measured in togs, because it is so adaptable. The best guide to use is weight. A 500gsm wool duvet is considered suitable for use in cold weather, but may not have such good drape as a slightly lighter duvet.  A 400 -430gsm wool duvet is suitable for most weather, and can be adapted to the coldest weather with the addition of a light throw. A light-weight duvet (200-250gsm) is suitable for warm nights.  All our duvets are made to standard UK sizes. 

WOOL DUVETS  IN, SINGLE, DOUBLE, AND KING   SIZES

 Fogarty wool duvets are the original duvet with no artificial fibres. The light Fogarty duvet has  about 250gsm of soft pure new wool and is the perfect partner for a warm cashmere duvet.

Although the Fogarty and some other duvets are machine washable, since wool does not attract dust from the air, regular airing and occasional sponging down is usually all that is necessary to keep them fresh. A summer airing outside on a hot, windy day is ideal!

A well-made duvet, with excellent 'drape', 100% cream cotton covering (soft cotton to maintain the excellent drape). Expertly stitched to hold the wool in place. OUR BEST EVER WOOL DUVET!

Cashmere, capable of keeping the Kashmir goat warm in extreme weather conditions, is the ideal natural fibre to keep us warm too. Wool pillows are made for us by a UK mill and offer firm, but gentle support as well helping to maintain an even head  temperature. A naturally springy wool is used. Choose plump, medium or light for individual comfort.

MERINO FLEECE MATTRESS TOPPER

If your mattress is not quite comfortable enough, you could add a luxurious layer of 100% pure merino wool. Made in the UK with British wool on a woven backing, with cotton fabric added to the back,it sits neatly on your mattress under the bottom sheet. Elasticated straps on the corners hold it in place. Adds both warmth and comfort. A bit like a sheepskin, without the skin! Made to order in any size.
